Calabarzon haul: Illegal drugs worth P17.1M seized, 908 held in July
LUCENA CITY — The Philippine National Police anti-illegal drugs operatives in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) region arrested 908 suspected drug traffickers. It seized more than P17.1 million worth of illegal drugs in July.
Anti-narcotics cops across the region conducted 725 operations and confiscated 2,245.06 grams of shabu, 15,751.05 grams of dried marijuana leaves, and 4 grams of ecstasy from July 1 to 31, Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas, Region 4A police chief, said in a report issued on Aug. 1.
The confiscated illegal drugs were worth about P17,163,334, the report said.
In June, Calabarzon policemen held 875 suspected drug traffickers and seized P18,053,680 worth of shabu and marijuana.
