LOOK: Marcos gets copy of proposed P6.3-trillion 2025 budget

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. received on Wednesday a copy of the proposed 2025 National Expenditure Program (NEP).

Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman personally handed the document to Marcos in a presentation at Malacañang.

The 2025 NEP was presented and delivered to the president after the Department of Budget and Management turned the same proposed budget over to the Senate and the House of Representatives on Monday.

At P6.3 trillion, the proposed budget for 2025 is higher than the P5.7 trillion budget in 2024.

Specifically, the Office of the President (OP) has a proposed budget of P10.4 billion, including confidential funds at P2.2 billion and intelligence funds at P2.3 billion.

In total, the OP’s proposed budget for 2025 of P10.4 billion is slightly lower than 2024’s P10.6 billion.
