LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested on Monday, July 29, two suspected “high-value” drug traffickers and seized more than P217,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Angono, Rizal province.
In a report on Tuesday, July 30, the Rizal police said that local drug enforcers captured “Iking,” 37, and “Melody,” 34, at 6:49 p.m. after they sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover cop acting as a drug user in Barangay Mahabang Parang.
The suspects were caught in alleged possession of seven plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 32 grams worth about P217,600 in the Dangerous Drugs Board valuation.

Authorities also seized a mobile phone that they will check for drug transactions.
Police tagged the duo, both residents of Angono, as “high-value individuals” in the local drug trade.
The police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.
The suspects were detained and are facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
