MANILA, Philippines — Fair, warm weather is forecast in most parts of the country while the southwest monsoon or “habagat” will affect the western part of Luzon on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa weather specialist Rhea Torres said overcast skies and rain showers are expected in the Ilocos region and Zambales. Warm weather is also expected in the rest of the country as cloud clusters are not found.
(The southwest monsoon or habagat will affect parts of western Luzon, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers are expected in parts of Ilocos region and Zambales.)
(For the rest of the country, we are not monitoring thick cloud clusters that could cause rains all day so warm weather is expected, but with possible isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.)
LPA moving out
Torres said the low-pressure area (LPA) being monitored by Pagasa is about to exit the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
The LPA was last spotted some 480 kilometers north – northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
(It is near the boundary of the Philippine area of responsibility, and is expected to exit PAR in the next few hours.)
Pagasa did not raise a gale warning in the country’s seaboards nationwide.
