ALA’s Mancio stakes title against Cabilla
DEFENDING champion Jerson Mancio of the ALA Gym is set to make his first defense of the Philippine light flyweight title today against Charlie Cabilla of Bukidnon at the Mandaue City Plaza.
Mancio (14W-3L-3D, 5 KOs) weighed in at 108 lbs while Cabilla (12W-9L-4D, 2 KOs) weighed 107 lbs during the official weigh in held at the GAB-Cebu office yesterday noon.
Mancio won the title last year in San Remigio, Cebu by unanimous decision against Jason Canoy of the Omega gym.
Canoy will be fighting in the undercard against another ALA prospect Welbeth Loberanis in a non-title contest.
Canoy weighed in at 111 3/4 lbs while Loberanis stepped in at 113 lbs.
The other undercard matchups include Jimmy Paypa (123 lbs) vs Albert Villacampa (118 lbs) , Zaldy Aroa (122.5 lbs) vs Gilbert Garciano (122.5 lbs), Pedro Balaba (117.5 lbs) vs Julie Agrabio (115.75 lbs) and Sherwin Paro (113 lbs) vs Ricky Nunez (111.5 lbs).
