LIST: Class suspensions for July 24
MANILA, Philippines — Classes in parts of Luzon were suspended on Wednesday, July 24, due to the heavy rains from Typhoon Carina (International name: Gaemi) and the southwest monsoon.
The Presidential Communications Office announced that work in government offices and classes at all levels in Metro Manila are suspended due to the inclement weather.

Meanwhile, here is the list of other areas outside Metro Manila that announced class suspensions:
- Bulacan – all levels, public and private
- Batangas – all levels, public and private
- Rizal – all levels, public and private
- Cavite – all levels, public and private
- Laguna – all levels, public and private
- Bataan – all levels, public and private
- Capas, Tarlac – all levels, public and private
- Bamban, Tarlac – all levels, public and private
- Concepcion, Tarlac – all levels, public and private
- Pampanga – all levels, public and private
- Zambales – all levels, public and private
- Olongapo City – all levels, public and private
- Baguio – all levels, public to private
- Burgos, Pangasinan – all levels, public and private
- Manaoag, Pangasinan – preschool to senior high school, public and private
- Magsingal, Ilocos Sur – all levels, public and private
- San Fernando, La Union – all levels, public and private
- Agoo, La Union – all levels in private, Brigada Eskwela in public
- Tubao, La Union – all levels in private, Brigada Eskwela in public
According to the weather bulletin released by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration on Wednesday morning, Carina further intensified and may reach its peak intensity before making landfall in Taiwan.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 was raised over Batanes.
Meanwhile, TCWS No. 1 is still hoisted over Babuyan Islands, the northern portion of mainland Cagayan (Claveria, Santa Praxedes, Sanchez-Mira, Pamplona, Abulug, Ballesteros, Aparri, Camalaniugan, Buguey, Santa Teresita, Santa Ana, Gonzaga) and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte (Burgos, Bangui, Pagudpud, Dumalneg, Adams)
