MANILA, Philippines — The Pasig Ferry operations remain suspended on Wednesday due to heavy rains from Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon or “habagat,” the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

In an advisory posted on its Facebook page, MMDA advised commuters to stay safe.

Below is the list of all Pasig Ferry Stations:

  • Pinagbuhatan
  • San Joaquin
  • Maybunga
  • Kalawaan
  • Guadalupe
  • Valenzuela
  • Hulo
  • Lambingan
  • Sta. Ana
  • PUP
  • Lawton
  • Escolta
  • Quinta

On Tuesday afternoon, MMDA likewise halted the operations of all Pasig Ferry stations.

Earlier Wednesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa)  issued a red warning alert over Metro Manila, Rizal, and Bataan due to Carina and the “habagat.”

Pagasa explained that areas under red warning are forecast to experience over 30 millimeters of rain in the next two hours, with possible flooding in flood-prone areas.

Carina was monitored early Wednesday, some 290 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, carrying maximum sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 190 kph.

It was moving northwest at 25 kph.
