Taguig LGU: Palar tunnel closed until October for water pipe-laying
MANILA, Philippines — The City of Taguig announced the temporary closure of the Palar tunnel due to Manila Water’s Long-Term East 3 Water Supply Line project from July 22 to October 17.
In its traffic advisory on Sunday, the Palar tunnel will be closed from 10:00 pm on July 22 to 9:00 a.m. on October 17.
Motorists were advised to take the following alternative routes:
- Southbound vehicles going to Cayetano Boulevard are advised to U-turn near C5 Ecopark
- One lane will remain open for vehicles from Cayetano Boulevard to Palar and southbound areas.
More than 4,000 meters of pipe will be laid from Palar to Sapang Viejo for the project to ensure an adequate water supply and strong water pressure for Taguig.
