MANILA, Philippines — The Taguig government on Monday announced the closure of one of the city’s roads from Wednesday night until Thursday evening for the Taguig River Festival.

According to its traffic advisory, the portion of General Luna Street from Global Oil to Mr. DIY in Barangay Tuktukan will be closed from 11:00 p.m. on July 24 to 11:00 p.m. on July 25.

Motorists were advised to take the following alternate routes:

The Taguig River Festival is a three-day annual event held by the city to celebrate its patron, Saint Anne.

This year’s celebration will be held from July 24 to 26. It will feature activities, including Pagpupugay kay Lola, the Regatta or boat race, Indakan sa Daan, and Pagoda sa Ilog. — Felice Nafarrete, INQUIRER.net intern
