Senate to focus on Ledac priority bills – Escudero
MANILA, Philippines – The Senate will prioritize the passing of economic bills that were listed by the Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council (Ledac), Senate President Francis Escudero said on Saturday.
“Well, pangunahin namin itong economic bills na na-identify sa Ledac para sa darating na session na ito ng Kongreso dagdag pa d’on yung priorities ng Kamara at Senado sa mga indibidwal naman na bill na isinusulong ng iba’t-ibang mga miyembro natin at ng Kamara. ” Escudero said in an ambush interview.
(Well, we will prioritize the economic bills identified in the Ledac for the upcoming session of Congress, in addition, the priority bills of the House and the Senate, the individual bills that our members, as well as the House, push for.)
“Lahat y’on pagsasabay-sabayin na namin sa humigit-kumulang siyamnapu’t tatlong araw ng session bago kami mag-adjourn sa darating na naman na Sona sa 2025,” he added.
(All of those will be discussed in the approximately 93 session days before we adjourn again in the 2025 State of the Nation Address)
Escudero made the statement before the third State of the Nation Address (Sona) of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on July 22.
