MANILA, Philippines — A 100 percent chance of rain is forecast in Metro Manila on Monday, July 22, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported on Friday.
According to the state weather bureau, the rain will possibly be caused by the southwest monsoon or the two low-pressure areas (LPA) monitored inside the Philippine area of responsibility.
The first LPA was spotted at 135 kilometers west-southwest of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro while the second LPA was located 880 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas.
In an early morning bulletin, Pagasa reported that the two LPAs would bring widespread rain showers to the country on Friday.

The weather outlook for Monday in Metro Manila was posted at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and will be valid until 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
