P544,000 shabu seized from 2 suspects in Pampanga's capital city

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Policemen arrested two drug suspects who allegedly yielded some P544,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation Thursday in San Agustin village in this city.

The suspects, identified only as Badet, 39, and Rex, 43, are on the list of high-value individuals in the police’s campaign against illegal drugs, a statement from the police provincial office here said.

Lieutenant Colonel Roy Augustus Calulot, city police chief, said in the statement that some 80 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated from the duo during the sting operation jointly conducted early Thursday morning by city policemen and provincial police drug enforcement operatives.

He said the arrested persons were detained and will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
