MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. forwent his usual out-of-town engagements on Wednesday to give himself time to work on his speech for his third State of the Nation Address (Sona) on July 22, according to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).

In a Viber message to reporters, the PCO said the President was “on top of finalizing” his Sona speech although it did not provide hints on his possible main talking points. “He has no engagements today because he is preparing for the Sona,” it added. —Melvin Gascon
