2 Chinese kidnap-murder suspects nabbed, another shoots self in Angeles City
ANGELES CITY – The Bureau of Immigration (BI) and local police arrested two Chinese nationals who are allegedly members of a kidnapping gang, while a third suspect shot himself dead while trying to evade authorities.
In belated separate statements on Monday, the BI and the Angeles City police said the raid took place inside a condominium-type residence in Sto. Domingo village here Friday afternoon.
The BI identified the arrested suspects as Feng Zhengheng, 29, and Chou Yibo, 33, while the third Chinese man who died after allegedly shooting himself in the head was identified as Wu Fu Wen, 35.
BI agents also accosted a Chinese woman identified as Wang Yan, 25, who was found to be an overstaying alien.
“The Chinese nationals are prime suspects in the murder of nine foreigners whose bodies were dumped in different areas of Pampanga several months ago,” BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said in a statement.

Some three grams of shabu (crystal meth) with an estimated street value of P20,400 were also allegedly found inside the suspects’ residence.
Angeles City police director Colonel Amado Mendoza Jr. said his men assisted the BI’s Fugitive Search Unit agents, headed by Intelligence Officer II Rendel Ryan Sy, in the implementation of a mission order issued by Tansingco against the Chinese suspects.
The BI said the mission order was issued against Feng, Chou and Wu “for violating Philippine immigration laws.”
Wang’s arrest was coincidental. She failed to produce pertinent documents when BI agents spotted her in the area of operation.
It was discovered that she had an expired tourist visa.
Tansingco said in the statement that the three Chinese suspects fled after seeing the BI agents and police officers.
He said the arrested Chinese nationals “will be charged with deportation cases for overstaying their tourist visas.”
He said the three suspects reportedly arrived in the Philippines in 2019 and stayed in the country.
“They did not bother to apply for an extension of their stay in the country. They will remain in our detention facility until the criminal cases filed against them are resolved by the court, as they will also be facing deportation charges,” he added. (with reports from Adrian Parungao)
