Malapascua people get free dental care

At least 150 patients were given free tooth extraction, oral prophylaxes and prosthodontics in Malapascua Island, Cebu.

The Cebu Korean Association headed by its president, Dae Youn “Joseph” Shin, sponsored the Cebu Dental Society free clinic and coastal clean-up in cooperation with SME English Academy and Wow Cebu Dental Clinic last April 28 and 29 in Malapascua Island, Cebu.

Twenty-six students from SME English Academy assisted the 17 dentists from the Cebu Dental Society led by group president Dr. Ed Bernardos and outreach program coordinator Dr. Ronald Loyola in giving dental services to residents.

This was the first time that the Cebu Korean Association supported the Cebu Dental Society in giving free dental care to Filipinos who cannot afford to pay for their dental needs.

The Cebu Korean Association was established not only to cater the needs of their fellow Koreans but also to help Filipinos who need their assistance.
