One of the fatalities was identified as Juanito Dela Cruz, 63, of Aparri, Cagayan. The other victim was a woman who was not identified in the report but was described to be clad in a black striped blouse and black silk pants with a white ball cap. The report did not state why the woman was not identified.
The body of Dela Cruz was found inside a parked car while the woman’s body was found down the creek, about 50 meters away from the vehicle.
Macadangdang said that it is possible that the victims knew the suspects because the car was properly parked on the side of the road.
Witnesses told police they noticed the car was parked before noon but they did not see who shot the victims because they were far from the crime scene.
Investigation is ongoing.
