THE Green Team beat Blue, 101-96, for its 8th win in 11 games (8-3), while White stunned Red in overtime, 89-85, Thursday night to post the same win-loss record in the Customs cagefest dubbed as the 3rd Major Alfonso Abbariao Cup-2012 Biggest Loser basketball tournament.
Blue held a single-digit lead in the first two periods, but Green rallied in the 3rd with a 25-18 run to erase the deficit en route to the five-point victory.
Noel Medalle and Rizan Herbito had 36 and 31 points, respectively for Green while Tata Laborte and Chito Manahan paced Blue with 28 and 23 markers.
In the other game, White survived Red in a game that was close from start to finish.
After regulation ended in a, 76-all tie on Bryan Rabago’s buzzer-beating triple, White outscored Red in the extension, 13-9 for the four-point victory.
Boodie Monteño and Jeneson Sabanal led White with 28 and 18 points, respectively while Jojo Quiño and Bong Mabalo paced Red with 18 points apiece.
