Philippine Daily Inquirer warns public of “Notice to the Public” ad

The Philippine Daily Inquirer and Inquirer.net disclaim fraudulent messages sent via e-mail informing individuals and corporations that they will supposedly appear in a “Notice to the Public” ad. These emails went as far as using names of Inquirer executives but using false email and office addresses.

The company emphasizes that these messages are not legitimate and advertising transactions, including payments, are done only through official channels by the company’s authorized representatives. It is also not in the nature of the company to threaten individuals or corporations of negative publicity and warn against any bogus activities misrepresenting the company. The Inquirer has taken steps to report this matter to the proper authorities.

The company reminds the public to remain vigilant against scams and exercise caution by verifying the authenticity of any messages before acting on it. Please report any suspicious messages to feedback@inquirer.com.ph
