MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 7.1 earthquake rocked a Sultan Kudarat town on Thursday, Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the earthquake struck at 10:13 a.m.n with its epicenter traced 133 kilometers west of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin, with a depth of focus of 722 kilometers.
Phivolcs added that aftershocks and damage are not expected.
