NCRPO operations in Manila yield over P2.75M worth of shabu

MANILA, Philippines — Eight people were arrested in separate drug operations in Manila, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said.

According to the NCRPO on Tuesday, the first mission in Binondo caught two suspects named Omar Abdul, 25, and Saidali Mantawil, 42, while police personnel discovered two sachets of illegal methamphetamine or shabu with an estimated value of P 2.3 million.

A pick-up vehicle was also seized in the raid.

The NCRPO added that Sonny Reyes, 54 years old, was rearrested in Tondo in another separate swoop.

Reyes had eleven sachets of shabu with an estimated value of P353,600.

In addition, five were arrested in another operation in Malate, Manila, namely: ⁠Neil del Rosario, 54; Abraham Cegales, 37; Wilhelmina Nazario, 60; ⁠Manilyn Royo, 33; and Nazareth de Paz, 48.

Seven shabu sachets were seized from the group with an estimated value of P95,200.

The NCRPO added that the eight have been detained while complaints for violations of anti-drug laws were being prepared against them.
