MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Airlines (PAL) confirmed that a flight bound for Los Angeles, United States discontinued its takeoff on Friday night due to a “technical issue.”
PAL also said that all 361 passengers of flight PR102 were safely deplaned and provided with hotel accommodations in Manila.
It said the “timely and swift decision” of its “highly-skilled” crew ensured the safety of the passengers.

“A replacement flight to Los Angeles has been arranged to accommodate passengers of the canceled flight. The new flight is scheduled to depart at 2:00 p.m. today (July 6),” the flag carrier disclosed in a statement Saturday, July 6.
