Pagasa: Cloudy, rainy Saturday likely as 3 weather systems affect PH
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said three weather systems are affecting the country and are expected to bring rains over portions of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Saturday, July 6.
The Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) or convergence of winds from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere, easterlies or winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean, and thunderstorms will cause cloudy skies with rain showers in many parts of the country, according to Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil.
“Itong easterlies, o hangin na nanggagaling sa Karagatang Pasipiko ay magdudulot ng mga kaulapan at pag-ulan sa eastern section ng southern Luzon,” Villamil said.
(The easterlies, or winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, will bring clouds and rain to the eastern section of southern Luzon.)
