Rain showers, thunderstorms to prevail on Sunday (June 30) – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Sunday due to easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In a morning forecast, Pagasa said easterlies will mainly affect the eastern parts of the country.
“Ngayong araw ay magdudulot ito ng kalat kalat na pag-ulan, pagkidlat at pagkulog dito sa may Davao Region,” weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
(Today, easterlies will bring scattered rain, lightning and thunder here in the Davao Region.)

“Sa nalalabing bahagi naman ng ating bansa, lalong lalo dito sa area o nalalabing bahagi ng Mindanao kung saan, as early as this morning, makararanas pa rin ng isolated na pag-ulan,” she added.
(Over the rest of our country, rainy weather will also prevail especially here in Mindanao, where, as early as this morning, isolated rains will persist.)
She further reported that most areas nationwide are also expected to have thunderstorms from afternoon until evening.
Pagasa has not monitored any weather disturbance in and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
No gale warning was raised in any of the country’s seaboards.
