MANILA, Philippines – The Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) is already studying the possible cancellation of the birth certificate of Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo.
During Wednesday’s Senate hearing, it was discovered that a different “Alice Leal Guo” exists in the database of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Both “Alice Leal Guo” were born on the same date and year.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) already recommended the cancellation of the suspended mayor’s birth certificate.
“We are seriously considering PSA’s recommendation to file a petition for the cancellation of Mayor Guo’s birth certificate,” Solicitor General Menardo Guevarra said.
He said this is among the legal actions that the OSG is studying, which he said cannot be publicly disclosed.
The OSG has already formed a team to conduct an investigation into Guo.
The team has been coordinating with various government agencies to gather facts about the Bamban mayor.
Guo became the subject of various inquiry after her name was dragged into the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator hub in Tarlac that was believed to be involved in illegal activities.
