Over P1.3 million shabu seized from suspect in Camarines Sur

MANILA, Philippines — Over P1.3 million worth of suspected crystal meth or shabu were seized from a 35-year-old man, who was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Camarines Sur on Monday, according to Philippine National Police (PNP) – Drug Enforcement Group (DEG).

In a report, PDEG identified the suspect as Antonio Salamanque.

Police said he was collared by personnel of the drug enforcement unit in the province along with operatives of Libmanan Municipal Police Station around 2:50 a.m.

Found in Salamanque’s belongings were more or less 200 grams of suspected shabu, amounting to about P1,360,000.

The suspect is in the custody of the Libmanan Municipal Police Station, while confiscated pieces of drug evidence will be turned over to the Forensic Unit at Camp Simeon Ola for laboratory examination.
