MANILA, Philippines — Tuguegarao City and Casiguran town in Aurora are expected to experience a 47-degree Celsius heat index on Saturday, June 15, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Twenty-six other areas nationwide are likewise forecast to feel the hot weather at dangerous levels on Saturday, based on Pagasa’s latest bulletin. These are:

Pagasa said heat indices from 42 degrees Celsius to 51 degrees Celsius fall under the “danger” category, and people in affected areas are advised to observe precautions such as drinking plenty of water, wearing heat-protection clothes, and staying in cool areas, to avoid heat-related illnesses.
