Pagasa issues flood advisory in 3 regions in Luzon, Mindanao

Three regions in Luzon and Mindanao may experience flooding on Friday, the state weather bureau said.

MANILA, Philippines — Three regions in Luzon and Mindanao may experience flooding on Friday, the state weather bureau said.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) flood advisory, the areas below may flood due to rains brought by the southwest monsoon.

Region IV-B (Mimaropa)

Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula)

Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao

Pagasa likewise advised people and their local government units to take necessary precautions.

“People living near the mountain slopes and in the low-lying areas of the above-mentioned river systems and the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils concerned still advised to take necessary precautionary measures,” it said in its advisory.
