Police in this province arrested on Monday, June 10, a 35-year-old Chinese man who allegedly abducted a fellow Chinese in Manila.

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Police in this province arrested on Monday, June 10, a 35-year-old Chinese man who allegedly abducted a fellow Chinese in Manila.

In a statement, the Police Regional Office 3 identified the suspect as “Wu,” who was nabbed in Subic town.

According to an initial investigation, police flagged down the suspect, who was driving his white BMW sedan, for verification.

But instead of stopping, Wu reportedly sped away northbound toward nearby Castillejos town, resulting in a brief chase.

The suspect’s vehicle was eventually intercepted in Castillejos’ Barangay San Jose.

Police said Wu, who lives in Davao City, was tagged in the abduction of “Yi,” a 33-year-old Chinese national residing in Malate, Manila.

Investigators said Subic police took Wu into their custody for further investigation. INQ
