“Ang Libreng Sakay ay simpleng paraan ng DOTr [Department of Transportation] at MRT-3 upang gunitain ang Araw ng Kalayaan na isang napakahalagang okasyon sa ating pagkabansa,” said DOTr Assistant Secretary for Railways and MRT-3 Officer-in-Charge Jorjette Aquino, as quoted in a statement.
(The Free Ride is a simple way for the DOTr and MRT-3 to commemorate Independence Day, a significant occasion in our nationhood.)

(This also serves as a reminder and a call to our fellow countrymen to continue to cherish and defend our freedom, which was bestowed upon us by the sacrifices of our heroes.)
(As for the MRT-3, the line will continue to strive to provide efficient, safe and reliable transportation to our passengers.)
