Honasan likely to run for Senate under new party; may tap Lacson, Sotto
MANILA, Philippines — Former Sen. Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan is likely to run for the Senate in the upcoming midterm elections.
“Siguro (maybe) on a scale of one to 10, [there is a probability of] eight [to] nine [for me to] go back to the Senate,” Honasan told INQUIRER.net in a chance interview in San Juan City.
Honasan became a senator from 1995 to 2004, and again from 2007 to 2019.
The former senator also led the launch of a new political party called Reform PH Party.
It consists of other members of the Reformed Armed Forces Movement and the Magdalo Party.
