According to the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), the dog was immediately rescued the same day it was found.

The LRMC said “Liberty” (named after the station she was rescued in) was first spotted at Gil Puyat Station and was rescued along the tracks of LRT-1 Libertad station on June 1.

“The LRMC team immediately rescued him at LRT-1 Libertad Station and temporarily stayed at LRT-1 Central Station,” the LRMC said in a recent Facebook post.

It then added that the dog was then taken in by an animal non-profit organization (NGO), Loved by the Gapz – Animal Rescue Inc.

In a Facebook post, the NGO said it immediately contacted the LRMC upon learning of the dog’s situation.
