Research group study finds different voter personalities
MANILA, Philippines — A market research consultancy group has identified five personalities of voters in the country.
According to the findings of Insightspedia Inc. presented on Thursday, the six voters’ personalities included the following:
- middle-road majority
- passive onlookers
- solution seekers
- connection cravers
- economy worriers

The “middle-road majority” consisted of both youth and older populations, which placed candidate competence as their most important priority in voting.
On the other hand, “passive onlookers” were more apt to trust the current system, and in comparison, value the character of candidates rather than their competence.
Article continues after this advertisementSimilar to the previous, “solution seekers” value character, but in contrast to passive onlookers, they are more influenced by their emotions on current issues.
Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, “connection cravers” look for validation for the candidates that they favor, and usually expect benefits from their chosen candidate once he or she is elected.

Lastly, “economy worriers” are those that prioritize economic qualities as the most important issues in the country, and look for candidates that will solve those problems.
