Mayor Rama scores 51 in team’s easy win
CEBBU City Mayor Mike Rama scored a record-high 51 points spiked with 17 trifectas to power Rama Boys to a, 106-102 win over BTBA All Stars last Sunday at the start of the Barangay T. Padilla Basketball Association (BTBA) 2012 basketball tournament at the T. Padilla covered court in Cebu City.
The Rama Boys trailed by five points in the opening period, 25-20 but rallied hard in the next three behind former UV Lancer Rene Toring, Algier Magan and ex-PBA Danny Aying and Rama.
In the other game, McMill Enterprises trounced Arnado Boys, 103-96.
Arnado Boys jumped to a, 27-19, lead in the first quarter but McMill answered with a furious, 40-18 second quarter storm to rip the game apart, 65-49, and send Arnado Boys wobbling the rest of the way.
Danrey Baclay and Dodong Elizalde led McMill with 21 and 20 points, respectively, while Edwin Nadal fired 19 points for the Arnado Boys.
