“Transition works will continue until 1 August 2024, when the new Parish Priest will formally take over as mandated by His Eminence Jose Cardinal Advincula, D.D., Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Manila,” it added.
The OSA constructed the church in 1601, and it has sustained damages from earthquakes as well as fire. It was converted into the headquarters of Filipino and American factions throughout the country’s occupational history.
The church was then reconstructed in 1972.
