Over P512,000 worth of shabu seized in Quezon busts
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested three suspected drug traffickers and seized more than P512,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in drug bust operations on Monday, June 3, in Quezon province.
Colonel Ledon Monte, Quezon police chief, said in a report on Tuesday, June 4, that members of the drug enforcement unit in Sariaya town arrested “Kimberly,” 26, and “Bembol,” 27, after they sold P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Bantilan around 10:25 p.m.
The operatives confiscated from the suspects five sachets of meth weighing 21 grams worth P142,800 as per the valuation of the Dangerous Drugs Board.
The seized shabu is worth more than P428,400 in the street market at the prevailing price of P20,400 per gram, according to the police.
The authorities also confiscated a car believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.

The suspect, included on the police drug watch list, was caught with 22 sachets containing shabu worth P83,640 in the street market.
The three arrested suspects were detained and are facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
