MANILA, Philippines — At least five to 16 hours of water supply interruption is scheduled in Parañaque, Muntinlupa, Malabon, Navotas, and Quezon City from May 30 to June 3, the Maynilad Water Services Inc. said.

In an advisory, the West Zone water concessionaire said maintenance activities will be conducted during the period as part of the company’s commitment to keep the total distribution system under its jurisdiction in good condition.

“Karaniwan ay maliliit na area lamang ang apektado ng ganitong mga aktibidad. Gayundin, karamihan sa maintenance activities na ito ay ginagawa sa off-peak hours upang maibsan ang epekto sa aming mga customer,” it said.

(Usually, only small areas are affected by such activities. Also, most of these maintenance activities are done during off-peak hours to minimize the impact on our customers.)

“Pinapayuhan ang mga apektadong customer na mag-ipon ng sapat na tubig bago ang scheduled interruption,” it added.

(Affected customers are advised to stock up on sufficient water before the scheduled interruption.)

According to Maynilad, the water service interruptions are scheduled in the following;

Parañaque City from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., May 30 to 31

Muntinlupa City from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., May 30 to 31

Malabon City from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m., May 30 to 31

Maynilad said that once water supply is restored, affected customers should first let the water run until it becomes clear.
