DPWH to close a part of España Boulevard for reblocking

MANILA, Philippines — A portion of España Boulevard will be closed starting Thursday, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.

In its advisory, the closure is meant to allow road reblocking in the area of España Boulevard corner Algeciras Street in Sampaloc, Manila.

“Starting May 30, 2024, the Department of Public Works and Highways – North Manila District Engineering Office will conduct road reblocking activities along the innermost lane of España Boulevard corner Algeciras Street,” the advisory said.

The DPWH likewise advised motorists going to Manila and other areas to use alternate routes as traffic congestion may occur.

“While reblocking works cover 4.5 linear meters of España Boulevard requiring partial road closure of the area, motorists heading to Quiapo are advised of traffic slowdown and to use possible alternate routes,” it added.
