Typhoon Aghon exits PAR but rainshower may still persist

MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Aghon (international name: Ewiniar) left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The state weather bureau issued a 4 p.m. advisory, stating that Aghon was officially outside of PAR as of 3 p.m.
Pagasa said its current location is 1,205 kilometers east-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon.
However, Pagasa said that the country will still experience unfavorable weather conditions brought by three weather systems.
It said that Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought by southwesterly wind flow.
