Marcos picks ex-court judge as new chair of PCSO Board

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. named former Marikina City Regional Trial Court (RTC) judge Felix Reyes as the new chair of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

According to the Palace, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin swore Reyes into office on Tuesday, May 28.

“Before [this] appointment, Reyes was appointed acting member of the PCSO Board of Directors from November 2022 to the present,” the Presidential Communications Office said in a statement.

Aside from serving as Marikina RTC judge before being given a spot at PCSO in 2022, the PCO said Reyes was also acting presiding judge of Taguig City RTC Branch 70 (2017-2019), Lipa City RTC (February 2011-September 2021), and Calamba City RTC (2011-2013).

The PCO likewise said Reyes completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Far Eastern University and finished law in University of the East.
