Aghon will move generally northeastward over the Philippine Sea for the entirety of the forecast period and exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Wednesday afternoon or evening, still under the typhoon classification.

Making landfalls in areas of Quezon province, Aghon tore off roofs, uprooted trees, toppled concrete electric posts, wiped out crops and flooded villages there.

Five people were reported dead while seven were hurt due to the typhoon, according to the Office of Civil Defense.
