Some domestic flights canceled due to tropical storm Aghon

MANILA, Philippines — Several flights were canceled early Sunday morning (May 26) due to bad weather brought by tropical storm Aghon, according to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).

In an advisory, MIAA said that it canceled the following flights as of 2 a.m.:

CEBGO

DG 6031/6032: Manila –San Jose – Manila

DG 6113/6114: Manila – Naga – Manila

DG 6117/6118: Manila – Naga – Manila

Cebu Pacific (5J)

5J 821/822: Manila – Virac – Manila

In its latest cyclone update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Aghon is moving towards Sariaya, Quezon with a speed of 10 kilometers per hour (kph).

The storm is carrying maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour (kph) with gustiness of up to 125 kph.

Due to its strong winds, Pagasa raised wind signals in various areas of Luzon.
