MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday said he hopes that agrarian land reform will push the children of farmers to continue their parents’ work.
Marcos led the distribution of land titles to 4,456 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.

“Sana ay maghimok sa inyong mga anak at sa kanila pang magiging anak na ipagpatuloy ang marangal na propesyon na magsaka, dahil sila po ang pag-asa ng susunod na henerasyon,” Marcos told the farmers.
(I hope that this encourages your children and their children to continue the honorable profession of farming, because they are the hope of the next generation.)
The President also said he hopes the distributed lands will enable the farmers to produce food for Filipinos.
While in Zambianga del Norte, he reiterated his order to the Department of Agrarian Reform to hasten the distribution of farmlands to beneficiaries.
“Sa ating agrarian reform program, wakasan natin ang kahirapan ng ating magsasaka laban sa banta ng pagkagutom, laban sa pagkabaon sa utang at laban sa kahirapan,” said Marcos.
