MANILA, Philippines — The shear line is expected to bring cloudy skies and rain over parts of Northern Luzon on Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
(Expect cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms in the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, and Isabela due to the shear line.)

On the other hand, generally fair weather with partly overcast to overcast skies could be anticipated over the rest of the country.
(But expect isolated showers caused by thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.)
Aurelio also said that Pagasa is monitoring a cloud cluster outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) within the intertropical convergence zone. However, he noted that it currently does not affect any part of the country.
Aurelio said forming a low-pressure area within or near the PAR remains unlikely.
