MANILA, Philippines — Over 16,200 candidates for graduation from Valenzuela public schools are set to receive a P1,500 cash incentive from the city government.
The local government units announced on their Facebook page that the money would be given to each graduating student to aid their educational expenses. The cash incentive will be distributed from May 15 to 27.
A total of 16,252 elementary and senior high school students from various Valenzuela public schools are expected to graduate this school year.

“Ito ang kabuuan ng ipapamahaging educational incentive ng Lungsod #Valenzuela para sa 16,252 graduating Elementary at Senior High School students mula sa mga pampublikong paaralan, mula Mayo 15 hanggang 27, 2024, bilang tulong sa kanilang mga gastusin sa pag-aaral,” the post said.
(This is the entirety of the educational incentive that Valenzuela City will give to the 16,252 graduating Elementary and Senior High School students in public schools from May 15 to 27, 2024, to assist with their educational expenses.)

Meanwhile, honor students in the elementary and senior high school levels will receive an additional incentive based on their standing.
The Valenzuela City government said an additional P1,500 would be given to the Top 1 students, P1,000 to the Top 2 students, and P500 to the Top 3 to 5 students.
