Immigration apprehends two foreign nationals

BI OKs adjusted dress code amid heat

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said on Tuesday that two foreign nationals were apprehended for breaking various laws.

The first, a Singaporean national named Mohamed Kamal, 45, and who arrived at the Clark International Airport on May 9, was found to have a tampered passport.

According to the BI, Kamal detached the pages in his passport and that he was suspected to have escorted a Filipina worker in April to Singapore.

Meanwhile, 33-year-old Xue Gang was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on May 9.

Xue attempted to board a flight to China, but was apprehended for being wanted for alleged involvement in cyber fraud.

The BI added that the two are in its facility in Taguig City, pending their deportation.
