MANILA, Philippines — High chances of rain are expected in Eastern Visayas on Sunday due to easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In a morning forecast, the state weather bureau reported that easterlies will bring rainy weather to Eastern Visayas and partly cloudy to cloudy skies in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

(Luzon, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies.)

(We will still experience hot weather until noon, but from afternoon until night, there is a high chance of isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.)

According to Castañeda, localized thunderstorms are expected to prevail in Palawan, some parts of Visayas and Mindanao.

She likewise said that Pagasa has not monitored any weather disturbance or low-pressure area that will likely enter the Philippine area of responsibility or form within the country’s boundary for the next few days.

Moreover, she reported that no gale warning was raised on any of the country’s seaboards.
