BOC-Port of Subic surpasses April 2024 target collection

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) — Port of Subic surpassed its monthly collection target last month by more than P1 billion.

In an announcement, the agency said it collected P5.865 billion in April, which was above the monthly target of P4.452 billion.

The excess collection reflected a surplus of P1.413 billion, or 31.74 percent.

On Wednesday (May 8), District Collector Ricardo Morales II expressed his gratitude to the BOC-Subic employees for the feat.

“The relentless efforts of our team have not only exceeded expectations but also demonstrated the impactful results of strategic initiatives in line with Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio’s 5-Point Priority Program,” Morales said in a statement.

He added: “The Port of Subic remains steadfast in its commitment to border protection, trade facilitation, and the collection of lawful revenues, continuing to deliver exceptional results.”
