AJ Banal to headline Pinoy Pride 7 boxing

AFTER the highly successful Pinoy Pride 6 featuring Rey “Boom-Boom” Bautista, ALA Promotions will stage the seventh edition of the exciting series dubbed “Battle at Mactan” at the Hoopsdome in Lapu-lapu City.

The card will be headlined by AJ “Bazooka” Banal (24 wins-1loss 19 KOs) tentatively against fearsome Mexican Victor Proa (27 wins-1 loss 20 KOs). But the official announcement of PP7’s final lineup will be made tomorrow yet during a press launch at the Savannah of the Plantation Bay Resort and Spa in Mactan with ALA Boxing Promotions president Michael Aldeguer and the ALA boxers.

Banal knocked down Tanzanian Francis Miyeyusho last March 19 in his last fight here in Cebu. Proa meanwhile, beat fellow Mexican Alfredo Banaga last year in Mexico.

The upcoming showdown between Banal and Proa will be held at the newly built Hoopsdome in Lapu-lapu City which has a seating capacity of 8,000. Pinoy Pride 7 will serve as the first major boxing event in Lapu-lapu City.
