Cedric Lee blood pressure shoots up after surrender to NBI

MANILA CITY, Philippines – Convicted businessman Cedric Lee experienced high blood pressure while under the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

“Yes, he experienced high blood pressure,” NBI’s Public Information Office chief Nick Suarez confirmed Friday.

Lee surrendered to the NBI on Thursday evening, the same day that the Taguig Regional Trial Court found them guilty of serious illegal detention in the case filed by actor-TV host Vhong Navarro.

“He has to undergo regular check-ups by the NBI Doctors to ensure his health is okay when he is presented to the Court,” Suarez told reporters.

The NBI will be presenting Lee to the Taguig Court, which will, in turn, order that he be turned over to the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).

Lee’s co-accused model, Deniece Cornejo and Simeon Palma Raz, are already under the Reception and Diagnostic Center (RDC) in preparation for their commitment to separate facilities of the BuCor.
