MANILA, Philippines — Some roads in Makati City will be closed on May 4 to give way to the holding of Flores de Mayo.
In an advisory on Thursday, the Makati City government said that road closures and traffic rerouting schemes will be implemented in the following areas:
- All Eastbound “M. Reyes-Libertad PUJ Line” and other private vehicles who regularly pass-through Capt. M. Reyes Street, or heading towards Edsa: Along A. Arnaiz Avenue; turn right Evangelista Street; right turn to Gen Lucban Street; left turn to M. Reyes Street (OW), to desired destination
- All Northbound “Evangelista – Libertad PUJ Line” and private vehicles heading towards A. Arnaiz Avenue: Due to this special event, Valderama Street shall be totally closed to traffic. The prohibition of No Left Turn at A. Arnaiz / Evangelista Intersection shall be lifted and left turn shall be allowed without traffic apprehension, until such time necessary for time-being.
- Along other affected adjacent roads while the procession is in activity: Traffic flow in-between procession long gaps will be allowed to cross or pass, but through the discretion of assigned traffic personnel manning and supervising the traffic flows on their assigned deployment street, corner or intersection site.
